I’ve just seen a post on another local forum advising Forest Hill Post Office is temporarily closed! When I’ve checked the Post Office website it does indeed show the branch as closed:
Thanks for the update - I didn’t realise it was the whole shop. I thought it was just the Post Office as there have been quite a few occasions in the last 10 months when the Post Office has been closed or been open less hours than the rest of the shop.

It could be that the staff are isolating perhaps.
I do hope it reopens soon its such a handy shop

Anyone got any idea when it’s open again? Or an alternative post-office that I can send packages from?
We have used this service for sending parcels by Royal Mail. It has proven very effective.

The post office website is still showing it is closed but WH Smith’s website shows they were only closed on Monday so I called the store and the WH Smith’s area manager answered. He advised that all the usual WH Smith staff are having to self isolate at the moment after two of them tested as Covid positive and so they’ve had to draft in staff from other stores to be able to reopen the store and therefore also enable the post office to open too. He confirmed that they will only be open from 10 to 4 every day this week and the post office will be the same.
So you should be ok to post your packages.
