Same - I feel the need for another bike. N+1 and all…

I would be more inclined to feel smug and sensible lol
I think my latest comes close to that with its upgrades, but outright purchase, sod that lol

I love N+1, it is the answer to so many questions from the other half.
Hoping to add to the collection this year, but the equation will of course remain.

Brilliant write up though. Seen a few like this recently. Some humour, some bits a little closer to the mark lol

Yay - we’ve finally made it onto his column. Have always been a massive fan. I’d never thought of it before, but he’s right that the Spoons has a slightly sinister vibe…

Wasn’t there a similarly overpriced 1960s box a year or so ago that quickly got relisted at a sensible price? I seem to remember a thread on it here.

I find it the crushing silence through the lack of music leaving only the sound of despair. But then, I didn’t know that was a trait of all Weatherspoons.

Spoons is an interesting venue to visit to see the inside. Always take people inside whilst saying “Don’t worry, not staying. Going somewhere else for a drink”. Spend a minute or two looking at the interior and off again.

I’ve also been conflicted. Not feeling its pub vibe. But strangely a fantastic collection of bottled craft beers at a price not replicated anywhere else.
