Just wondering if anybody else in the Hawkesfield/Perry Hill area is currently having the same issues with their Sky Broadband - as Sky have mentioned it could be affecting quite a radius?
Something fishy seems to be behind the whole thing - a couple of weeks ago workmen from a company called “Zim8” were doing something with the internet cables in the box in the road and at the exact same time our broadband went down. We called this company about it they were overly vague about the work they were doing and outright refused to believe they might have caused an issue and ended that discussion promptly.
Sky then sent round OpenReach engineers who have checked in the box and found there to be damaged cables for the Sky broadband and are now having trouble fixing it. Suspiciously, since then we’ve had BT sales people knock and say “people are having issues with Sky in this area would you consider switching?”
All seems a bit suss to me. Has anyone experience this kind of thing before? We’ve now had no internet for almost two weeks and it’s very frustrating
