Not your average charity shop:
Shelter has launched a new ’boutique’ charity shop in East Dulwich – and is appealing for designer donations.
Number 122 Vale Grove, SE22, is now home to Boutique By Shelter, a charity shop specialising in high-end fashion, accessories and jewellery.
Shelter’s deputy director of fundraising, Helen Calder, said: “Shelter provides advice and support for thousands of people across the country faced with homelessness.
“Our new Boutique by Shelter shop in East Dulwich will help raise vital funds to help us be there for more families in this situation, which is why we’re calling on the local community for their support – whether it be volunteering, donating a bad of pre-loved clothes or shopping for a bargain.”
Shelter now has 49 shops across England selling second-hand items to raise funds for the charity’s work.
