At around 11am this morning I was walking down Stanstead road by the BP garage and 20-30 riot police piled out of vans and headed onto an estate by Wastdale road. They looked as if they meant business, shields and truncheons were up.
Does anyone know what was going on. Took a fairly sketchy photo but didn’t want to hang around!

I don’t know what has gone on but there is often a lot of police vans near there.
