I was just wondering what quizzes are on nearish-by in this post lockdown dystopia, other than the Signal on Sundays. I know that the Dartmouth Arms had one before they changed management, but I’m assuming that that is no more? Fingers crossed that the Sylvan returns with its Wednesday quiz!
Also wondering how covid will affect quizzing, as I haven’t been to one since March.
I don’t know about pub quizzes, but the Guardian Art Quiz is fun. There was one almost every day from March to late August.
The Chandos at Honor Oak has a quiz on sundays at 7pm. I can’t vouch for it personally but I imagine you need to book etc
As long as not too far the Greyhound one by sydenham Station is back on Mondays. Set by inquizition which does excellent quizzes with a good picture round, music round etc. Not made it back to greyhound yet but done some of his online on a Sunday night (different quiz to those in pub so can do both).
I think they’re still doing it… The Orchard in Brockley does a great quiz, and the food is really good too.
Ah bugger, Chandos, Signal and the Orchard are all good ones, but also all on a Sunday, which I sadly can’t do. Will try the Greyhound on Mondays though, thank you! Scouting around near-ish places and found The Old Nun’s Head which is relaunching one next Thursday.
I think I remember the Alexander in Penge (so not QUITE local) having a good quiz on a Monday…? Not sure nowadays but maybe check it out?
The Brockley Jack has one on a Thursday I’m sure…
