I think this looks like a Noble false widow in the house:

Using the identification tool, I think this is a Gatekeeper butterfly in the garden:

Came back in this morning and heard some knocking outside - thought either neighbours doing some DIY or the woodpecker was back around. It was the latter, who has decided to take over our blue tit nest box. The noise it was making the whole bigger- never seen that before!

Recently I started to feed the squirrels so that they wouldn’t compete for food with the birds. I found a funny squirrel feeder, It is a Horse Head feeder of Accoutrements. Watching them go nuts over the feeder was pretty funny. We laughed so hard, and it became an instant hit for the kids. The head is hollow inside, and you can put a variety of nuts and seeds to attract them.

I’m very tempted to photoshop a Christmas hat onto that one, though I think I’ve missed the season now!

Great pics though

Looking out my back window a couple of days ago I watched 4 screeching parakeets “escort” 2 seagulls out of their airspace which was fascinating but unfortunately no photos.

Nice (again!) - I’m still waiting to see one bringing back some food, has seen one with some though couldn’t see what it was eating, but not seen it flyign back with anything in it’s talons.

Which reminds me must go and try and have a look for the Kingfishers again soon now visibility will be better again.

Had two foxes play-fighting/fighting in my front garden on HOP two nights ago, wonder if it was the same gang.

Sadly couldn’t get a decent photo through the window

They bark outside my house at 2am, dig up plants and s*** all over my garden if anybody wishes to get a good look at them. Cute little things. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
