Late last night I saw a young man tending to a fox that had apparently been injured in Sunderland Road. I heard him tell someone nearby that he was going to call the RSPCA. Oddly, the fox didn’t seem to mind that man being there and even approached him as if looking for help.
I didn’t want to intrude in case my sudden appearance scared the fox away, beyond professional help.
Does anyone know what happened, in the end?
I don’t like foxes — they terrorise (and try to kill) my chickens — but I don’t wish them any harm.
