Hi just wondered if anyone knew the people having a house party on Bovil Road? They have issued wristbands and the music is crazy loud with flashing lights, like a night club. It seems to be becoming a regular thing?

We can hear them from our house too. Sunday night seems like a pretty thoughtless choice for a regular house party given their garden backs onto dozens of tightly packed Victorian terraces in Ebsworth St and Bovill Rd.
Seems pretty selfish to me!
Anyone know if they are doing this to make money, are they charging for these wristbands?
Also what time does this go on to?
And are the council & police aware of this?

Does Lewisham not have noise patrols? Most Councils have environmental health officers on call at night through the weekends.

On a Sunday and normally until 4/5am ish! Clearly it shows a total lack of respect for the numerous neighbours but is it actually allowed to have that sheer volume of people in your private residence, regulated through the issuing of wristbands?
I wonder if the landlord knows?
If the house is rented, it might be worth contacting the landlord - particularly if “VIP” entry is based on payment, they’re basically running a business from home and that’s likely to be contrary to their tenancy agreements. Even complaints from the neighbours might be enough.

Also if they are taking payment I wonder if they are declaring the takings for tax purposes!

Funny, just had a tweet from Lewisham MPS and noisy neighbours. Apparently the Lewisham Council Noise Team take primacy and have powers to deal. Pity the are only open Mo-Fri 9am to 5pm.

I had a late night noise complaint dealt with by the council once but this was 2-3 years ago and I believe the service has been cut back since then.

Yep couple of doors down from me - went on until 3am! I don’t they have a 9-5 like we do
