Book Club - February 2020

Hello,

We meet once a month on Wednesdays (don’t always remember to post here each month) in the back restaurant of Honor Oak pub to discuss the chosen book. Our choice for February is ‘Things in jars’ by Jess Kidd. It was a close call between options presented.
Encourage buying from local bookshop but if needed for ease or Kindle format then Amazon link below:

Next meeting February 19th at 19.30.

No special knowledge or English degree is required, having read the book is ideal, but not mandatory if you have a good excuse or hated it too much to finish.

Ps we have a separate WhatsApp group so usually 5-10 of us attending (RSVP on forum not mandatory & don’t reflect reality)

Hi Denise,

Great news. I have only just started reading the book myself. Still got a couple of weeks. Basically just turn up at Honor Oak pub at 7.30. We will be sat at a larger table at the back in the restaurant area. Easily identifiable as there are usually a couple of copies of the book on the table. Oh and feel free to get a glass of something from the bar.

Hi Sarah, I hope all went went at the book club on Wednesday. Regrettably, I was unable to attend, due to family commitments. I would like to try again in March, and would appreciate the title of this months read.
