Any of them do gluten free options? so hard to get a nice fresh gluten free loaf?
I got a lovely granary loaf from Donde today.
I used Thoroughbread Bakery for a deliver on Saturday and can highly recommend.
The Cardamon Swirls (with lots of cinnamon) were among the best I’d tasted in a long time. The white tin loaf was delicious, and still slightly warm when it arrived. They bake until noon on delivery days (Wednesday/Saturday) and then head out for deliveries.
We also use them (twice a week) and if I had to pick a favourite, the focaccia is delicious.
haven’t tried this Peckham Rye Gluten Free bakery myself but good reviews - I don’t consume xanthan gum - https://www.mygfbakery.com/
Thanks really helpful I will give them a try again I have tried their GF bread mix before which wasnt great but I will give them another go with baked loaves which sound good
Seconded – I loved the Cardamom Snails and the English Muffins were amazing.
Another vote for Toby at Thoroughbread. All his bread is great but stand out for me are his lime ammereti which are sensational with a coffee. My daughter also loves his homemade Oreos.
Hands down Little Bread Pedlar bread from St. Davids and as someone else mentioned, The Butchery. Selection at Sans Store looks good although never tried. Pantry look like they have a broad selection but noticed plastic wrap in the packaging so have never bought.
Personally, if I know I can get a LBP loaf, I wouldn’t waste my money on anything else…
