Do we have a description of what these people look like? When you say suspicious activity, what are they doing exactly, so we can spot if someone else looks to be doing the same?
I’m home most days so I’ll be vigilant as I live on this road
The regular beggar was back there this evening. I mentioned it to the staff at the Coop who seem non fussed about him. What can ve done to peopke who consistently flout the orders?
Thank you, I live in this area so good to know you are patrolling.
On a side note, there were ADT security people door-knocking my road this week. I had a man wanting to do ‘a security analysis of my house to qualify for some free security equipment’ and he was asking if I had a burglar alarm etc. Well he seemed a nice guy and may be genuine, but I said no thanks because I don’t intend to discuss my house security with a strange person without knowing if they are who they say they are.
I am sure we’ve discussed this company before on this forum but wanted to mention it again as it’s happened recently.
We had the same tonight. The questions we had were about our property and car. My husband has PM’ed ADT to ask whether this is their sales technique or whether he should inform the police.
@SgtBiddle@Daffodil we had the same yesterday afternoon on Elsinore Road. He didn’t say he was ADT but mentioned them. It was very clever but I clocked it immediately and said I wasn’t interested.
ADT do have ‘direct sales’ teams that go door-to-door. I think it’s bizarre for a company that wants people to be vigilant about their security! They say their reps wear hi-viz vests and have ADT ID cards.
#PCKate (from @MPSCroftonPark) and I have been working with officers from the CID at @MPSLewisham today - tracking down a suspect wanted for burglary in #PerryVale.
Very pleased about this arrest. Please can you keep us updated - i.e. if charges are made for one or more assault, or if the individual is released without charges. Was the arrest made by Lewisham police or Bromley police?
Thank goodness. I haven’t commented before as such but would like to add my thanks to you & your team for the fantastic job you do to help keep us all safe in our homes & on the streets .
I’m not sure I should love this topic (great community engagement) or loathe it (too many crime reports). But I’m sure it brings great comfort to many forum members.
One thought though as it marches past 80 responses. Would it be helpful to create a monthly or quarterly version? This topic was only started in December and already has a read time of 8 minutes. Noting a 2017 start date, and the long length might new visitors be less inclined to read through this one?
Of course such an idea would need @SgtBiddle’s support as it would be he who might have to respond to multiple topics. But as I noted. Just a thought.
