Spotted this little girl a few minutes ago, in the alleyway between London Road and Derby Hill Crescent.
Took these photos, moved/guided her to a safer place and wished her well, then we went our separate ways

Found this pair in our garden yesterday (Allenby Rd) and then a much bigger one in the shed just now… Great to see them again this year!

Not a great picture, but saw this beast on the steps of Forest Hill Station commuting in this morning:
I think she’s a stag beetle - huge and nasty looking nippers! I would have liked to try and move her to safety, but I’m afraid I was to scared to try and touch her!

Saw our first one of the year last night, flying in the garden.

I need to keep an eye for them, not seen any but would love to - @GillB if you see one send it my way!
I was going to say I will send you a photo, but don’t think I’ll want to get that close! So I’ll just let you know the location! 
Just seen a huge stag beetle, flying then walking through my yard. Massive. They like it if you bury or keep a few logs in your garden and are out and about this time of year.
