It seemed to be coming out of the road at various points opposite the museum. I haven’t notified anyone as the bus stop was closed and ‘lane closed’ signage up diverting traffic around it, so it definitely looked like it was known about

Up on Sydenham Hill we have a lot of apparent water leaks that Thames Water can’t fix because they come from natural springs.

One of the drains is blocked.
There’s another new leak, at the junction of Pearcefield Avenue and Davids Road - again this one coming up through the road surface. Can all this water be from leaking pipes, or is some of it coming from natural springs?
We have a natural spring that runs under our house. That’s why I am posting at 4am, as we have to pump out the cellar every half hour and it’s my shift now!

I wonder if the water went off over night? The taps gurled and shook impressively when I turned them on for a shower this morning.
It would be really good if we could draw up a map of where these natural strings are popping up. There are environmental agency maps but they don’t seem to be kept up to date and with all the building work that’s going on and vast number of mature and maturing tree removals it might help Planning department who at the moment just rely on developers supplying a rather inadequate “flood map” that assumes hills don’t flood. They never look below the surface.
I don’t have the IT skills to set something up, but maybe some skilled people on here would be willing to help set up a thread where we can pool our info on a map would be possible? I have various bits of maps that could be incorporated and give clues but don’t know how to do it.

On the Waldenshaw leak - officers have had the Council’s road gullies at this location out several times recently, but there is still flooding in the road during rainfall which we think may be due to the Thames Water sewer being blocked. We have contacted Thames Water about this but so far they haven’t taken any action - we’ll continue to press them.

oh shhhhiiiiiiiit 
Two Thames water vans and a suction truck have been out to presumably fix the leak this morning. They have all been idling with engines on for over 2 hours and done nothing except put out a few cones and barriers!

Still seems to be leaking, unless it’s a second leak near that location.
Meanwhile there’s a new leak on Honor Oak Road, near the junction with Tyson Road.
Also one or two small springs or leaks near the top of Ringmore Rise.
There’s low/no water pressure on Honor Oak Road at the moment. Another leak at the top of Manor Mount.

Manor Mount was like a waterfall yesterday. It’s absolutely crazy the number of leaks that have been occurring over the past few months.

The two holes have been partially filled in and the pressure is back to normal.
It took a few days before they tarmac’d the top and the temporary lights to go the last time.
Really bad leak on London Road near Matoom The pavement is sheet ice and you have to walk in the road to avoid the risk of a fall.
No idea where its coming from though
There was a burst water pipe from the flat above the barbers.

Honor Oak park is riddled with leaks again. 3 sets of temporary lights between the Sainsbury’s local and the junction with Honor Oak Road.
The leak at the top junction had such force last week it created a volcano style cone in the tarmac with a tiny hole at the top shooting water out. After about an hour the whole thing opened up. A shame that road had brand new surfacing less than 12months ago.
