Pop in to Rob on Dartmouth Road, opposite the swimming pool. One advantage is that he opens at 7am Tuesday to Friday, which is the most convenient time for me and my hippy locks.
(actually the 1990s were the best time for my hippy locks, but I’ll refrain from blaming the capitalist system for making my head a shining example of hirsute austerity)
+1 for Rob on Dartmouth Road he does a good job and if there is something going on in SE23, he knows about it! I go all the way across SE23 to visit him.
I knew you were left-leaning but I didn’t realise you saw yourself as a hippy, @Michael?
But the more I think about it, having seen you at Lark in the Park with the daisy chain bracelets, getting high and strumming your guitar, singing “All we need is love…”
Oh there are plenty of hippies about and not all have hair. Am hardly a dedicated follower of fashion but get a good cheap cut at FK’s on Honor Oak Park. £9 IIRC.
I’ll add my +1 for Rob’s. Lovely, friendly chap with well-informed political views. Like he said, you should go to hairdressers, not pollsters, if you want to get an informed view of opinions in an area.
Another vote for FKs on Honor Oak Park. You’re not going to get the latest West End stylie cuts in there, but if all you crave is a simple trim at a very reasonable price, this is the place for you.
The added bonus is that you can usually walk in and sit right down in the chair - I don’t think I’ve ever had to wait more than about 5 minutes.
After lockdown I’m just going to do my own or get OH to do it.
I don’t really care much about my hair anyway and £10 plus for a quick number 2 doesn’t seem worth it anymore!
Surely the statute of limitation applies here! The post in question was from summer 2016! (and in my defence I didn’t mention which political views he had)
