We use what used to be called Ziemanns just past Crofton Park library (next to the cemetery). Always found them reasonable & good service.
Perry Vale dentists are lovely, and I’ve never had a problem getting an appointment.
Been going to Perry Vale for over 15 yrs. happy to recommend.
http://www.perryvaledental.co.uk/ Perry Vale Dental are excellent. Receptionists, hygeinists and dentists… all very professional and friendly.
I’ve used Dentistry For You for a few years. They’re right by the station which is super-convenient, they’re very friendly, and they take NHS or private patients. No complaints.
Thanks for the recommendations. Does anyone have experience of dental implants done at either Townley Road or Perry Vale Dental? My daughter needs two implants and I’d really like personal recommendations on this procedure if anyone has one.
Another recommendation for Perry Vale Dental. I had my first appointment with them today - the receptionist and dentist were both lovely, the practice was busy but I was seen fairly quickly. I also really liked that you can see availability and book through their online booking system.
Funnily enough, I had my first appointment there today too. Maybe we passed in reception! I was very impressed with the practice as a whole and I agree, online booking is great.
Thanks everyone for the recommendations.
Hi Rachel - not sure if this is too late but I had an implant done at Townley Road a couple of years ago. It wasn’t cheap but the work done was really good and I haven’t had any problems since.
Reviving the topic! Is everyone still happy to recommend Perry Vale and/or Townley Road? Just lost a chunk of tooth (not painfully, so it’s urgent but not an emergency, and I’ve been delaying treatment on another tooth – probable root canal and crown – because my current practice is expensive and a pain to get to.) Looking for somewhere that takes NHS patients or a reasonably-priced private practice.
same here…I’m looking for a good local NHS dentist.
My current one is in west london and very good (Ive had some real disasters in the past) but it takes around 90mins to get there so I am keen to find a good gentle local one.
I have used Townley Road for years and happy to recommend them. They dealt very well with a failed root canal and subsequent extraction. They replaced the tooth with an implant which was very good quality and well handled.
They do NHS and private treatements.
I’ve been getting on fine with Perry Vale - and I’m terrified of the dentist.
I went to one of the two mentioned above about a year ago. Not impressed at all…
They said I needed a filling. I found this odd…
Long story short after getting a second opinion from a private dentist I used to use i found I did not need any fillings- two of them including head of the practice came to the same conclusion. So I saved myself a bit of money and got a nice clean in the process.
I’ve used Half Moon dental centre in Herne Hill for a number of years as a private patient, I don’t think they are the cheapest but I’ve never had a problem with them.
One of my friends uses Townley Road and so did my dad when he was alive, they both never had any issues either.
Hi Rachael
I am biased and can only recommend LDentec in East Dulwich. My husband is the dental technician there and makes the implants (we also work with Townley Dental). We are a private surgery and lab under one roof so it can prove to be more cost effective and a faster service. I hope your daughter has been taken care of but should you need any further help in future please consider us.
Thank you.
We are on google and findoc.co.uk
I use Bolney Court in Lawrie Park Road, Sydenham. Consistently excellent.
Trying to bump the topic - surgeries change all the time and ours has closed since this thread was last updated! Any current recommendations?
