Crystal Palace Firework display

That’s a fair comment. I guess some organisers pledge or promise the public that they give donations to charities to help boost their PR and ticket sales. St Christophers don’t seem to mention the past organisers making any donations. They just thank them for being there with collection buckets: https://www.stchristophers.org.uk/thank-one-fantastic-support-past-year/

Anyways, hope local charities do get genuine support and local businesses benefit on Saturday.

Oh wow!!! First firework big show night at our new place. Waiting in anticipation to see if we can see the Crystal Palace firework display from one of our windows!! We’re soooooo happy that we can. We have just seen the most amazing non-stop 20 minute display. Hats off to the organisers. It was SO good!!! It must have been amazing seeing it in the actual park :sparkler::tada::fireworks:

We were on site and certainly enjoyed it - the kids found the music a little loud, but the display was awesome! Add to that the pre-display laser show, the lightning guy, the drumming group and the music tent - it was a great night. Kids were buzzing all the way home and now happily passed out for the night … which is always a bonus

Sounds like there were some fantastic additions to the brilliant firework display! :fireworks::tada:

It wasn’t for me I’m afraid, thought it couldn’t keep up with previous occasions or other events like Blackheath for example. Music was ridiculously loud, completely unnecessarily. I thought the playlist was awful, although admittedly that’s down to personal taste. The firework itself was good although a little repetitive with less variety than usual. It seemed they went for duration rather than quality. Organisation was good, apart from a bottleneck by the exit because of puddles which caused some long queues. Overall I’m not sure I’ll go again next year.

Thanks for sharing. My daughter and I loved it from our window and thought it was a great display. We were so grateful we could see it as it’s our first year in our new place and we weren’t sure if we’d be able to. Though, of course, no loud music (not my daughter’s favourite thing when it’s too loud), queues or puddles for us. She doesn’t like really loud firework noises up close, hence we were really hoping we would be able to watch it from home

Does anyone know of a local display happening this evening, albeit a school night?
